Put FixLoop on your phone and turn on notifications
Add FixLoop to your home screen so it opens like an app, and get reminders as notifications.
FixLoop works in the web browser, and you can also add it to your phone's home screen. It then opens full screen from its own icon, like any other app. There is nothing to download from an app store, and it's always the latest version.
iPhone and iPad
- Open getfixloop.com in Safari and sign in.
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
- Tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
- Open FixLoop from its new icon. The first time, sign in again: the app keeps its own sign-in, separate from Safari.
Android
- Open getfixloop.com in Chrome and sign in.
- Open Settings, then Notifications, and press Install the app. Or open Chrome's menu (⋮) and tap Install app or Add to Home screen.
- Open FixLoop from its new icon. Press and hold the icon for a quick way to Report a problem.
On a computer
In Chrome or Edge, press the install button at the right of the address bar, or press Install the app in Settings, Notifications. FixLoop then opens in its own window.
Turn on notifications
- Open Settings, then Notifications.
- Under This phone or computer, press Turn on next to Notifications.
- Choose Allow when your phone asks. FixLoop sends one right away so you can see how it looks. Send a test sends another.
You get a notification at the same moments as the reminder emails: when a fix is given to you, 2 days before it's due and if it's overdue, when it's time to check a fix held, and when something is ready for your sign-off. Owners also hear about new problems and problems that came back. Tap a notification to open the problem.
- On iPhone and iPad, add FixLoop to your home screen first, then open it from its icon and turn notifications on there. Safari can't show them otherwise.
- Each device is set up on its own. Turn them on on each phone or computer where you want them.
- Signing out stops notifications on that device until you sign in again. Press Turn off to stop them for good on that device.
- Emails are separate. Turning notifications on or off doesn't change your emails, and the other way round.
No connection?
FixLoop needs the internet to load and save. With no signal, it shows a "You're offline" page instead of an error, and reloads by itself when you're back online. Everything you already saved is safe.
Keep details off the lock screen
Notifications show the problem number, its title and your workspace name. If other people can see your lock screen, open Settings, Notifications and switch off Show details on the lock screen. Notifications then only say what happened, like "A fix needs you", and you open FixLoop to see which problem. This applies to all your devices.
Keep names of customers, patients and members of the public out of problem titles, as always.
