Fix it: owner, due date and proof

Write one real change, give it to someone, and set a done-by date.

  1. Under What exactly will you change?, write one real change that stops the cause. Placeholders like "tbd" or "will fix" are not accepted.
  2. Pick the Owner, the person who will do the fix.
  3. Check the Done by date. It is set from how serious the problem is: Critical 3 days, Major 7 days, Minor 14 days. Change it if you need to.
  4. Add proof if you want, like a photo of the new checklist. If your workspace has Proof uploads switched on, proof is needed before the fix can be marked done.
  5. Press Save and assign. If you gave the fix to someone else, they get an email, and it shows on their list.
  6. When the change is made, press Mark fix as done. Only the fix owner or the workspace owner can do this.

The fix owner gets a reminder email 2 days before the due date, and another if it becomes overdue.

After the fix is done, the problem moves to Verifying. If Effectiveness verification is switched off, it goes straight to Ready to sign off.

A good fix makes it hard to get wrong: a checklist line, a label, a sign or an alarm. "Be more careful" is not a fix.
